We utilize 100% bladeless LASIK. Modern LASIK has eliminated the use of a microkeratome, a blade previously used to create the epithelial flap prior to the laser reshaping the cornea. This advancement has not only allowed more patients to be candidates for the procedure, but has also significantly reduced intra-operative complications. Modern LASIK also includes three-dimensional topographical mapping of the cornea so minuscule irregularities of the eye can be corrected. The result is a more precise treatment with faster healing.
