What LASIK Corrects

We utilize 100% bladeless LASIK. Modern LASIK has eliminated the use of a microkeratome, a blade previously used to create the epithelial flap prior to the laser reshaping the cornea. This advancement has not only allowed more patients to be candidates for the procedure, but has also significantly reduced intra-operative complications. Modern LASIK can correct nearsightedness (Myopia),  farsightedness (hyperopia), and astigmatism! LASIK can be a solution even if you have astigmatism in combination with nearsightedness or farsightedness, or have a high astigmatic prescription.

What to Expect After LASIK

The healing after Modern LASIK is remarkably fast with little discomfort. Most patients drive themselves to their follow-up appointment and return to work and most regular activities the next day. Even though you will be back to life quickly, we are here for you for the long-haul. While most patients only need to have LASIK once, for a very small percentage of patients, a touch-up procedure may be needed to fine-tune the results. If this is the case, through our Lifetime Advantage Plan¤ , medically-safe re-treatments are covered, free of charge, for your life.
